| Weller Sicard vase standing 14 1/4"
tall featuring a stunning design of leaves and berries (c. 1902-1907). Jacques
Sicard who studied at Clement Massier's studio in France started at Weller in 1901 where
he experimented and developed this metallic lustre finish in great secrecy. The
mystery behind the process intrigued and fueled interest in the line and it resulted in
widespread acclaim for Weller. The finer pieces sold in exlusive stores such as
Tiffany. Pieces were not always marked and this is the case in this piece.
In very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, perhaps a few light
scratches. (Stock # P 177-34411)
