| Rookwood Iris Glaze vase by L. Asbury that
stands 8 3/4" tall. Five iris blooms and numerous green leaves decorate this
remarkable vase. The background color starts with a blue-gray at the base and turns
light green, then ivory, then a very light mauve at the top in a way that gives the
impression of image depth. Decorated and artist-signed by Lenore Asbury in 1907, the
vase has overall fine crazing typical of iris glaze. It is not evident except at
close inpsction. No chips, cracks, or repairs. (Stock #
