| Decorated all around and from top to
bottom, this pot is a magnificent, strong example of the most popular Newcomb Pottery
design: live oak/spanish moss/full moon. The artist decorator was one of the
best, Henrietta Bailey: and the potter was Kenneth Smith, a graduate ceramist from Alfred
University who later became the director of Newcomb Pottery. We are unable to date
this pot exactly but it had to be after 1929 when Smith arrived at Newcomb College.
In very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. (Stock # P- 266-75911) SOLD
