| Absolutely beautiful Royal Vienna portrait
vase featuring a gorgeous red headed maiden standing in a forest with leaves in her
hair and holding more leaves. You usually see brunnettes as models on these vases,
not redheads with blue eyes. The protrait is framed with art nouveau floral gilt
decoration as well as one bloom on the back of the piece. The background color is a
deep burgandy color with a slight lustre finish similar to what you call a "tiffany
finish" on R.S. Prussia. It was hard to photograph and there is a lot of
reflection in the shiny glaze below. This beauty stands just a hair under 9
3/8" tall and bears a beehive mark on the bottom. In great condition with no
chips, hairlines or repairs. Just a tiny bit of wear to the gilt rims.
