| Pretty Limoges posy holder
featuring purple violets on a background color of pale yellow that shades down to a light
green at the base. It is further enhanced by the gilt trim around the opening and on
the handle. There is an artist signature of M.B. This lovely piece stands 3
1/2" tall to the top of the golden handle and is about 3" wide. It bears
the Tressemann and Vogt mark 7 (c. 1892-1907). There appears to be a decorators mark
that I can't make out clearly but the shape of the mark and the style of the painting
suggest the posy holder was decorated at the Julius H. Brauer Studio and I believe that
this was painted by Marie Brauer, his wife. In very good condition with no
chips, hairlines or repairs. (Stock # Y-709-951) SOLD
